The house was built by Radu Priscu (renowned hidrotechnician who supervised improtant dams, including dam Vidraru) for his family, in 1966. Starting with this history of the house and the projects requests, we tried to keep as much as possible from the original elements of the building, and link it to the initial owener. The original elements kept were the floor layouts and the original defining finishings: terrazzo, travertine. The existing plaster from the ground floor ceiling was removed, and we left the concrete slab exposed, as a connection point with the one that built the house, and his occupation as a dam engineer. The library item placed in the center of the house, articulates with it’s continouity the dinning area at the ground floor, with the living room area from the first floor, becoming the SPINAL CORD of the house.
